Merry Christmas to you all. I think. Is that right? Yes. I think so. Good. Anyway. Tash got me Bill Bailey's "Cosmic Jam" DVD. If you like intellectual humour then get it. Bill Bailey is actually God in desguise you see. Admittedly it's a bit of an odd creature to be desguided as, what with the long forehead and the furry creature-like beard. Very good musician though...
December Twenty Third Two Thousand and Five
Yay for it being the last day of work to day. Not that I want to sound too eager to be leaving work for the Holiday's, but I really need a longer holiday to get my head around things better and rest for a while. Yay for Ten Pin Bowling tonight as well, that'll be fun. I think my arm has just about recovered from last week, and I'm ready to hit a 16.5 mph plus. Well, that's the plan anyway. Hopefully our performances won't be as pitiful as last week!
Laziness or Physical Drainage?
I really can't tell which one is effecting me at the moment. On one hand I know my sleeping has been out even more recently making me really drowsy and not too alert to things around me. On the other hand I know I finish work Friday Morning, and so I get the feeling I'm just being pure lazy. Procrastinating just because I can. I haven't done any work for almost a week on any of my own sites. Except for designing a few new ones for future projects that is.
My energy is low at the moment. I'm not eating much and getting quite stressed over stuff at work. I want to disown BlueZeal but I can't because I've been designated to work on it. Need to talk to Nigel about it I think. I can't sit here and be stressed over one website all day. If I wanted to do that I'd quit work and spend all my time on Forfeit the Game. Which is coming along terribly by the way. I haven't been working on it at all, so now I'm going to be incredibly stressed over Christmas whilst I try to get it all finished by January 1st.
Aaaaarrgh! Bowling again on Friday. Time to let out my anger on a bunch of oddly shaped sticks with some big balls. That sounded very, very wrong. Haha. that cheered me up a bit. Oh dear.
Staff party on Friday was fun, even if I did lose the bowling. I came 5th (last) in the first game, with a score of about 60-something. I managed to lead for the first 5 rounds of the second game, and got a total of 99, even though I still ended 4th. Very fun game. Didn't hit any strikes, and our speedometer on the screen wasn't working unfortunately.
Doom was good. Though you could tell people in the cinema hadn't played the game by their reaction to it. It was very good compared to the original gameplay - though nothing special at all as an action movie itself - which is what most people seemed to miss. Definately worth watching in my opinion - maybe a rent though.
Aaand... Bowling again on Saturday evening with Brian. We did the unlimited bowling, so we got 8 games in the 2 hours we were playing. We could have had 9 but they cocked up somewhere and we lost about 15 minutes after the sixth. First ball I rolled I hit a strike - Brian hit 3 in a row, and it all went downhill from there... Though I managed to clock up a 16.5 mph bowl, which with a really bad arm is good I think. My average was about 10 the rest of the time. We'll be going again sometime during the week... Fun, fun!
Rocket are great. When I first listened to them I didn't know what to think of them. Not in a bad way though. They have a really cool 60's pop/rock sound to them, which is really fun to listen to. I just sent off an interview for them, which is a cool thing to do, as they are featured as my FTG Online Magazine Featured Artist. I'll post up the interview tomorrow when I get it back hopefully. For now, check 'em out.
"Crewdy Went All Christmasie!"
"Quickly, someone check his temperature!"
I felt the need to make Crewdy.co.uk all christmasie for the year end. The snow is so cool, very unobtrusive, and the images at the top have changed. That's about all my christmas spirit used up for now though, so don't expect anything else to come out of the site just yet!
I'm back in Exmouth. I'm absolutely knackered. I want to go back to bed. I think I fell asleep momentarily on the bus back from Plymouth yesterday, I sat up and was quite alert and not as drowsy, very odd. I was lying spread across the back seats of the coach though, which is kind of weird in itself. Heh.
I managed to spend about £45 yesterday, which is not too bad I guess. At least I didn't spend more! I didn't get much interesting stuff though; A stuffed 'Sully' (Monsters, Inc.) from the Disney Shop, a 'Have I Got News For You' board game, and some more books from Waterstones. Was a fun day overall, the travelling back was boring as hell though!
Last thursday I decided to buy a book. I don't know much about books. The last book I probably read was a Goosebumps book when I was about 12. That said, at the recommendadtion of Camilla, I bought Tom Holt: Only Human. So far, it's fantastic. Dry, witty humour and very random at times.
The book actually has several individual stories, which all somehow intertwine into one, bits of pieces of stories are written consecutively, so you may be reading up on one story, and a page later be reading another one, whilst still trying to get your head around the previous. It's a fantasic way of writing. I've gotten through about a fifth of the book already, it's really fun.
We're here at the College of St. Mark and St. John University (Marjon) campus in Plymouth (That sounded like a news report). It's my day off tomorrow, yay! We're going to go look around Plymouth and generally have a fun time. Or so I'm told by reliable sources. This place is kinda weird. Very neat and tidy, kinda posh?
I'm really knackered from the trip up here. It's an hour bus ride to Exeter, hour and a half(ish) to Plymouth, and about 15 minutes to the campus itself. I almost fell asleep on the bus to Plymouth. I'm sitting in some weird computer rooms at the moment, they have really nice keyboards, but really bad HP flatscreen monitors.
Ah well. All is good.

Ah, the wonders of Checkers...
*dances*
I just realised that I never made a post about this, and I only just realised that not just one of my sites, but two came in the top 200 in the People's Choice catagory! the Peoples Choice was basically website users voting for their favourite websitesthrough links provided on the websites, and at the end, a list was compiled of the top 200 most voted, with official and fan websites mixed together.
Forfeit The Game came a fantastic 15th (3 places higher than last year) and Chester Bennington: The Solo came in at number 191 (The site had been up about a month, if that when the voting started!) FTG was the 6th highest fansite on the list (don't be fooled, fans.gorillaz.com is actually an official website).
Yayness!
You may notice some changes coming up in the next few weeks. I want to make the site a bit more usable and less cluttered. I will probably stop the left and right nav option from the individual pages, and just have them on the front page, but I haven't decided yet. It may stay exactly the same. Only time will tell!
