Me and Brian have been working on a project for a little while now called "Eyes on Exeter". It's a huge project, and one of the most enjoyable things I've ever undertaken. Working on the website and perfecting the way it runs, expanding Wordpress to basically function as a Content Management System has been much more enjoyable than I thought it would be. Writing the articles is something I love doing as well, so it's a perfect project for me.
Back to the subject in hand: We need your help in testing the website and getting it up and running, so those of you at Uni can get off your arses (you didn't think we'd believe your actually working did you ;o) and take a look for me. I'd appreciate it. So would Brian. And be as harsh as you want when evaluating everything, we want this website to be the best it can be. I'm so glad we've finally got the website up-and-running, even if it is only in beta for a week. We've been working towards this for a while now. ^_^
Go and see Fun With Dick and Jane. Period. We went to see it on Saturday evening and it's absolutely hilarious. Well, it had to be, being Jim Carrey and all. It's his typical sort of nonsensical humour, mixed with his complete weirdness as a person in general. Always funny. Anyway, yes. If you get the chance to see it then do not pass it up, it's definately worth more than one watch.
According to the MENSA Intelligence Test, I am a certified genius. Well we all knew someone would prove it one day didn't we? ;) ... I managed to get 24 of the 33 before looking up the rest on the internet. Some of them were bloody obvious in the end, which is annoying, and some of the ones I got were very random, and quite hard. Let me know what you get (without cheating!) ^_^
Somebody chopped all my hair off. Well, not all of it, half of it. Looks weird now, I haven't seen it this short for about 3/4 months now. Quite scary really. Was very overdue though in all fairness, I needed it cut about 2 months ago, just never got around to it. It's gone all fluffy though because they blow-dried it >_>
I've worked out I have around 815 pages on the website now. That's quite impressive I think. The bulk of them come from the Fact of the Day, Word of the Day, Quote of the Day and Humour of the Day pages, but I also have this main blog, the Artist of the Day (which I'm seriously slacking on; I know), the Photoblog and the Random Stuff blog (again; I know).
In other news: I'm tired. Completely knackered. Deaded. I feel like passing out and sleeping for about 3 weeks right now. That would, infact, be heaven. I slept for about 12 hours on Saturday night and still woke up drowsy, I just can't get away from it. Bah.
I had to reformat my computer yesterday, as it completely conked itself out the other night - I basically could only run programs, and every time I went into a local folder it crashed and burned. It is though, the first time I have had reformat and reinstall XP in about 7/8 months, which is very good, as I used to have to do it pretty much monthly!
I managed to back everything up, and I'm now fully up and running as I was before. Reinstalling programs is always a pain in the arse, but I can get over that. I can't however, get over the fact that being the fuckwit I am, I forgot to back up my Outlook Express emails, and lost over a years worth of mail for all fo my websites! Aagghh!!!
I've absolutely killed my body these last few weeks, mainly by bowling so much. On Monday I went bowling by myself (to get some photos and answers to some questions as well), then on Tuesday we went for a bit. After just recovering from killing my leg last week, I have now strained both my foot and my hand/wrist. It's rather painful. As well as that I had a huge blister on my thumb, which popped whilst bowling on Tuesday. That hurt like hell, though it's sealed itself now, so it's not so bad.
I've completely knackered myself out. I feel like I'm going to collapse sometime very soon. When I least expect it too. Progressing quite far on the new project I'm working on with Brian. It's fun. I'm enjoying it, which is always good. Yeah.
Yaaaay! I haven't checked up on this for ages, because last time I did they were in the middle of filming stuff, but there is now an official Silent Hill site, with a small trailer for the film. So far, it looks amazing, and very realistic towards the game as well! It has the pyramid headed dude, as well as the leg dummies from what I can see, which are some of the main charactes from the games.
It also has the release date of 26th April, but unfortunately that's U.S., so we won't see it until like June :o(
Where did this website suddenly emerge from? I'm not sure if I've just been out of a very large loop for a long time, but I've seen about 8 links to this website in the last week or so, and I've never heard of the website before. Freaky, very freaky indeed.
Most of Christmas and new years was spent moping around being ill, and I've had to take the last 3 days off of work because I couldn't get in easily. It doesn't help that I think i've almost pulled the muscle in my right thigh, so I can't walk all that well at the moment either.
Going to see March of the Penguins tomorrow, which I'm really looking forward to. Should be a fun documentary type film to watch.
I was just looking back over one of my old online journals... and God I write some crap. Well, I still do, but that was real crap. Stuff like you'd write in a personal journal book thing that has a small lock, and you keep it hidden under your matress for safe keeping. Diary. That's the one.
Still don't know what I'm going out as on New Years, it's supposed to be fancy dress as film characters... Might just go as a pirate again... lmao... I did look like a Peter Pan reject anyway! Either that or I still have my afro/hippy gear, dunno who that would be though. oh well, got about 4 days to decide...!
