Happy Feet is awesome. There isn't as much singing and dancing as the trailers would have you think, but it is a great film still. The CGI is really good throughout, the jokes are good and the "acting" is great.
It's out today, so bloody well go see it. Or i'll send my army of small furry penguins to attack you in your sleep. Ha.
So I'm having to use the work computer for now. We have a terribly crappy little DELL in theoffice which I am going to steal for a week or so though, so I should be up and running on the net by Saturday all being well. My motherboard has basically been frazzled, which was my first impression anyway. they have to take the motherboard out though, send it off to be fixed, then come back and re-install it, because they don't make the parts for my stone-age computer anymore.
At least it's on a guaruntee eh?
This week has been really crappy for some reason. I can't put my finger on why, but I've just felt really weird all week. Work has been boring, and the only fun thing that has happened has been going Crealy on Wednesday. Besides that I seem to have pretty much a constant headache all week, and have just felt like shite.
It also means that I can't write my reviews properly or even get the motivation to do anything at all, so I've been working ona new website the last few days, which I shouldn't be doing; I should be completing and updating old ones...
Hmm. Might have some drinks tonight, I dunno yet. Might just play some pool and try to have a laugh, seems like a better plan. Yeah. Moo.
I must get around to doing a major overhaul again one of these days. Nothing new design wise, but the website itself is very unfunctional, and doesn't really have a use at the moment.
On another note, Pirates of the Caribbean 2 is fantastic; my only reservation is that they made the same mistake that the Matrix did and split the story over parts 2 + 3, instead of coming up with 2 new stories; I can't stand stuff like that. Number one is great because they leave it in a place where there can be a sequel, but there'd be nothing lost if there wasn't; number 2 demands a sequel to continue the story.
Ah well; still a great film, we're going to see it again later this week :o)
ExeFest is tomorrow. I'm really excited. This is my first gig, and we have nothing to lose, so everything is great before we've even started. 7 bands, and a surprise set by Unused Toys half way through we hope as well. Come along, or I'll bitch at you when I next see you, and we don't want that now do we? £3 on the door and money is going to charity.
In other news, HYSTERIA isn't picking up quite as well as I hoped, but I haven't got the bands behind it as much as I'd hoped either. We'll see what happens, eh?

Talking to Nigel about stuff wasn't as painful as I thought it would be originally. He said he he was kind of expecting it, but just not as soon. To be honest, neither was I, but things are picking up really, really well, so there's not really much I can do to be honest.
I'm goin to be going part-time on 4 days a week soon, then in July I will be dropping down to 3 days a week, then 2 later on until they draft somebody else in to take my place. HYSTERIA issue 2 is out on May 29th, which will be the make or break issue being £1. Maybe even £2.50 with a full live concert to download as well. Hopefully that'll pick up nicely, if not I'm gonna have to do it free and rely on adverts, which I don't really want.

This design is loosely based off the one I had before, which in turn was one of the default Blogger templates. It's very light and misty, and very Web 2.0. Yeah, I'm cool with my Web 2.0 layout.
I like this one, it's quite different to anything I've done before really. Which is good. It's a lot less cluttered and a lot less... formulated? All my websites seem to be very simple and are always symetrical and square, it makes a change to have one that breaks the mould.
It doesn't all work fully yet, but it will in time.
Anyway, for those who are bored on Saturday, come join me at Belmont Park. There is going to be about 14 bands playing throughout the day, starting at 11 and ending at 6 (from what I've heard). Should be a laugh. I'm gonna be there happy-snapping all day and reviewing and chatting to the bands, so come and find me, I'll be standing next to the stage the whole day. Fun fun!

No, really... These last few weeks especially, I've really started realising how much I despise 9-5 work. The evenings and weekends I'm fine, I can get up when I want, do work I enjoy and go to bed when I want. I don't have stupid deadlines that make no sense, and my life is generally a lot easier. Then I come to work and have all the opposites. And it's true that one of the only reasons I haven't quit already is because I'm too damn lazy to do it! That and the fact that I have no second income yet to cover the rent, and everything else.
Every day I despise working 9-5 even more though... And as much as I love "web development" (which I starkly get to do anyway), I can't stand being here all day anymore. What should I do?
Forfeit The Game just came 3rd at the Digital Music Awards. 3RD. Ahhh! I'm so hyped now, I was hoping for another top 20 position but 3rd is just outstanding. 276th to 18th to 15th to 3rd. There's only one more way to go next year!
I beat all the old winners as well. All of them. Every website that has won the award in the last three years and I beat them all. Hell yeah. Definately gives me the encouragement to carry on going with the website as well, after so much crap I've been feeling about it. Time to work on the new version again I think.

As you've no doubt noticed I've changed the layout of Crewdy.co.uk. It'll be a bit rough and sketchy over the next few days as I fix bits and pieces, but bear with me. The only reason I uploaded it so quickly is because when I was testing it, screwy things started happening to the main website (even though it was in a folder). The main site has been buggy for a while now, sinse the server change.
Anyway, hope you all like the layout, I'm happy with it, the old one was starting to bug me a bit. We'll see what happens though.
Why does every old person who gets on a bus now feel it necessary to flaunt the fact that they can get on for free? It was ok the first few times, but every person who gets on does it. Maybe they don't feel they are flaunting it, but when there is 12 old people on the bus, and there is 6 conversations about how they are not paying to be travelling, that kinda gets annoying after a while. And some of them have been talking about it for the last 4 days!
I pay over £70 a month for my bus travel, and most of the old people who get on the busses probably have more money than me to pay for it in the first place. Why doesn't the council get their head out of their asses and realise that it's not just the old people who don't have lots of money in this town? Bloody pathetic ._.
