Had an interesting weekend up in Bristol. We went to a halloween party at Lacota (TRiBE of FRoG), 10pm-7am is very extrenuous to be honest, not entirely keen on doing it again any time soon. Luckily they didn't add the extra hour as well when the clocks went back!
Off to Plymouth again tonight, travelling a bit too much this week, it's definately knackering me out a little, should sleep like a log though!! Halloween night is always boring. Oh well.
The Consolation Prizefighter gig went ok last week. Didn't make a loss, no profit by the end of it though...
Little Miss Sunshine, More Bowling and a Broken Body
I can't feel my legs today. Which is odd. I couldn't walk this morning, and every time I stand up I have a really bad pain in my thighs. It's partly because of Monday, but also from walking around Plymouth so much yesterday, and going bowling for another 3 hours. Weirdly, it hurt my legs and my knee more than my already injured arm. Dodgy. Every time I sneeze or cough or try to stand up too, my stomach cramps up and hurts like hell. I think I may have bruised my ribs on the left side of my body. Lovely.
Little Miss Sunshine is a bit of an odd film. Good, but odd. I'd been told and read that it was funny all the way through, but in reality I only laughed a handful of times, and quite a bit of it is quite serious. It's one of those films though that will become a classic. I've never been a big fan of Steve Carell but he plays a depressed suicidal really well. Even though the cast is big name stars as well, the film is still really raw in the way it's played and produced. I'd say it's one to go see, as it'll look and feel much better on a big cinema screen, but if not definately worth a rent in the future.
And on that note I must continue to add items to the BlueZeal shop. I have a backlog of stuff which isn't fun at all. Bleh.
Wooo, I forgot to post an update!
Well, ok, "forgot" is a strong word. Ok, maybe not - I did forget to post an update for like 2 weeks. Give me a slap when you next see me, that should make up.
I've been living in the front room for the last 2 weeks, which hasn't been fun; been redoing/painting my room, but I didn't get it finished. the yellow has gone back on, but the blue squares still have to be painted. Great fun. It's gonna look amazing when it's done.
Next issue of HYSTERIA is out tonight / tomorrow night hopefully. (Ok, maybe Thursday - cut me some slack eh?).
The website has been a bit redundant for a few days because of a problem with the mySQL database, which was my fault of course, but in all fairness I didn't know that the TINYINT variable only allows for 127 entries before it moans!
Bit of a boring week, better than last which is good, still not the best though. I actually felt like going back this week, and everything on the websites and BlueZeal has hopefully been sorted. Going to have to do something about it though, I'm sick of being moaned at by customers because some of our suppliers/couriers are trash.
Got mine and Tash's tickets for Tribe of Frog next week, gonna be great. 10pm - 7am rave, in fancy dress as well. Haha. Fantastic.
I think Thursday was officially the shittiest day I've ever had at work. Ever. Everything that could go wrong decided it was going to go wrong and everything just exploded on top of us. Me. On top of me. Yeah.
I feel like crap today, and I'm loosing my voice which isn't fun for phone calls, but yeah, that's the way it goes I guess. Think I'm going to rest and relax tonight; I'm supposed to be going to a gig but I really don't think I'm up for it at all...
Edit: Today has been just as shitty, and for the first time since I started working here I physically and mentally didn't want to go back to the office. I just don't want to have to come back to what's going on today, I was trying to think of any way I could to get out of it. That worries me a bit.
I Finally Got the New Website Finished!
I love this new website, and last night I finally got it finished, including a back-log of all my posts. The games, media, links etc will be up soon as I didn't have time to import all of them, but I'll get them going asap.
This whole website is custom built in PHP, which is what I love about it so much. It would have been easier to build another Blogger or Wordpress website but something is just so great about building it all yourself. Much more rewarding overall. Once te admin area is done I'll start uploading everything properly!
I'm going to try to keep this site up-to-date a bit more. As is with me though I probably won't be able to as much as I want to, but I can try can't I?
I'm off to Plymouth tonight which should be fun. We were going to go bowling tomorrow but I don't think that's going to happen now. Going to see Little Miss Sunshine hopefully though so I'll report on that.
We went to a driving range yesterday at Hele Park Golf Centre which was great fun. I hit about 200 balls and ended up whacking quite a few of them over the 250 mark. I only got 2 in the targets but I wasn't particularly aiming all that well. Using a driver was great fun, you can just smack it as far as you can really easily. Bowling after which was good too, did quite bad in the first two games, even if I did win the second. The third game was fun though; I came third and still managed to break the 100 mark. Great fun.
Exmouth Illuminated Carnival, Holes in One and Old People!
Was actually pretty good this year. Very disappointed that there was no proper marching band, but the floats weren't as boring as usual. Not saying they were good, obviously; that would be a big achievement for Exmouth but it was actually fun to watch this year. Pictures coming at some point soon when I can be bothered to upload them.
I got a hole in one whilst playing golf yesterday! Fantastic fun; I've never done it before. Only made funnier by the fact that I completely scuffed the shot and it rolled down the hill and straight in to the hole. Looked awesome. I got a 78 too which is the best I've ever done. Yeah!
Old people on busses are so miserable. Now, I'm miserable more often than not, but some of the old people I see on busses make me want to throw myself out a window. They trudge up the isle and find a seat by a window, look around and scowl at everybody slowly then lower themselves in to seats and look like a depressed frog all journey long. Then find things to moan about all the way. Remind me never to get old.
The last couple of days I've said I'm going to do things and then not done them. I said I was going to go to a show last night and then decided I couldn't be bothered... I'm hopefully still going to a show tonight, I really want to, but my laziness may take over before I leave for the bus. This last month has been an odd one, since I stopped going to gigs as much I've felt lazier and more tired - maybe I need to get back in to the habit of going to them again?
On the other hand I've been designing and building a lot recently as well. I just designed another (I know) crewdy.co.uk layout, but seens as this one is a dirty rip-off of a Blogger template I feel I should have my own anyway. I'm also redesigning and redeveloping Forfeit The Game, Curious and Joe Hahn, as well as working on websites for IDIOM and The Nine.
I'm doing so much yet I'm still so lazy. It's getting kind of confusing.
Over the next few weeks I'm going to be taking a break from things. From everything really. I won't be going out drinking for a start, and I may not see any of you for a few weeks. I need some time to get my head straight and sort stuff out; catch up on my sleeping mainly; and crack down on my work and websites. I'll be back to normal in a few weeks though.
I'll still be on MSN (even though I'm never that talkative) and I'll still be out during the day at work and playing golf no doubt. Anyway, lets see what happens...
Seems as though everybody loves the new pink hair, even if it has faded a bit over the last few days. It still makes me laugh everytime I look at it. Check out the Gallery if you haven't seen it already.
In other news, the Eyes on Exeter launch party is kicking off on the 25th, so come up and say hello, show some support, I'd appreciate it! Details Below.

All Hail the Wonderful Gallery!
Due to Crewdy being like, totally awesome with PHP and stuff, he has made a fully functional gallery of images from scratch, all by his lonesome. You can view this most amazing creation by visiting the "Imagery" page in that there bar up above. Due to Crewdy's amazing inability to do anything useful, he hasn't bothered to add a comments function, but I'm sure he'll get off his arse one day and finish that bit off. Maybe one day he'll add some more pictures too. One can hope!
Crewdy is a bit bored at the moment whilst sitting at work, contemplating how he is going to get his next online magazine out by friday with no properly funtioning computer, freehand templates, and only 7 pages of content. Oh the wonders of the endless work stream.
Crewdy's head is going to explode now, so if you don't hear from him, it's because his skull is being reconstructed by a small army of fluffy pink ferrets. Watch this space.
