I Love The Killers, Too

So much so, infact, that I've put up a third artist website, dedicated to them. I started this back in April, and they were initially going to be an FTG artist of the month, but I dropped the idea after a while. I decided I should finish the website now though, and this one has stared off a little more indepth than others - the discography includes promos and samplers as well as the normal albums. As is with the other too, the design is a little radical. Hot Fuss.

I Can't Sleep

I can't sleep. I have a bellyache; I have stuff on my mind; I feel stressed; and I feel like shite. It's 00:45 am and I've just been lying in bed for the past hour trying to get comfortable. Tonight is not a good night.

I Love Building Websites

Building websites is my love. That is why I have this website. That is why I have several others as well. It's not so much the running of websites that I enjoy, it's the design and creation process that keeps me entertained and happy. That's why over the coming months I will be building hundreds of websites dedicated to all my favourite artists.
By clicking on the newly added "artists" link at the top of the page, you will get access to a series of websites about musicians I like. Each will featre a host of information including a biography, discography, lyrics, links, videography, reviews, interviews and articles, plus anything else I can find. The idea is to create a definitive source of information about each artist. Much like my Linkin Park fansite does. Gathering all the jumbled up information across the web and compiling it into one easy to use website.
So far I have the structures for 2 websites, one is Daft Punk, the other is Terrorvision, 2 bands who I have been listening to alot lately, and two that I already had designs in mind for. I will be updating these soon will a ton of new info, and will hopefully be gathering information on a ongoing basis, as well as building new sites. Stay tuned!

I Don't Get It

The Google AdSense on the left, which is supposed to be content specific, is showing adverts for Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation. I know I had a post relating to alcohol a few weeks ago, but that dropped off this page some time ago. Bloody Google. I guess I shouldn't complain about them though, I've actually started making some money from the adverts I've got placed on websites now. Once I get to $100 I get a nice hefty(ish) check for £55 come through my letterbox. Shouldn't be long now!

Yahoo! Bundling Software With New YIM

If you are thinking about downloading that new Yahoo! Instant Messenger you were just asked to upgrade to: Beware - Yahoo! is now bundling a whole host of it's other software into the download package - most of which you probably won't want to install.
Yahoo! are using what is known as "guerilla" tactics to send a whole bunch of their software packages your way, desguised as only one. Banking on the fact that most people will automatically use the 'typical' (or 'default') install method that is given on software packages, as opposed to the no more complicated alternative of the 'custom' install, Yahoo! are able to do this without the user ever knowing until they find their new additions themselves.
Yahoo! are bundling the following software into the package:

Oh Yeah, Who Got an N64? *dances*

Haha. So my mum bought me a Nintendo 64 yesterday. It rocks. I've got Goldeneye (which I personally think is complete pants), Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64. Mario Kart is, single handedly, the best racing game ever made. Period. It even spawned the fantastic Crash Team Racing, which I also love. But not as much.
I've not had the chance to play on Super Mario 64 yet, but I will tonight. There goes even more of my time for working on the websites I run. Oh well, I've always been a gaming freak really. I've got to go find some joypads this lunch time. I'm so going to forget to do it though. I need a reminder. Hmm, oh well.

What's the Day Again?

Bloody Bank Holidays, confuse the hell out of me. I keep thinking it's Wednesday today. I got paid though, which is good, and it's September now, which isn't good. This year has gone too fast for my liking, I'll be needing to save money up for christmas soon. Not good. Ah well.
I finally bought "Don't Believe The Truth" by Oasis, not able to listen to it though because these speakers don't work properly, I'll have to wait for Dave to put it on his computer when he gets back. I've had The Importance of Being Idle stuck in my head for 2 days now. I'll probably write up a review of the album tonight and post it up here, as well as the FTG Ezine.
I was going to do something a minute ago. I was reading through a post on Threadwatch, thought I something I needed to do, opened a new tab in my browser and completely forgot what it was.

What's the Matter Pete?

Well, to be honest, I don't know. It's just one of those days I guess. I feel quite drowsy, and just in a bit of a sad frame of mind at the moment. Moping around the office looking for stuff to do (that isn't work preferably). I really don't know what the problem is.
I hate phones, they're making me answer the phones more now that Glen isn't here, and I have to phone somebody back about something on their website, but it's engaged. Blah. I hate phones. At least we have more people in today to answer the phones instead. I hate phones, y'know?
Dunno if I can be arsed to go out tonight. I guess I should, or i'll just sit a home doing sod all anyway, even though I should be working on the websites. Though saying that, I completely revamped the Online Magazine over the weekend. I'm very proud of it, hopefully now it'll start to get noticed and recognised.
Time is going slowly today. Typical. It was really fast yesterday.

New Features, Coming to a Crewdy Outlet Near You!

So I've integrated a ton of new features into the website. And I guess you want to know what they are, so here you go:
Imagery - Check out some photo's, either by me or of me, so far only 2 are available but I will have all my birthday photos up soon, as well as pictures from the visits to Paignton Zoo and Plymouth's National Marine Aquarium. You can comment on any of these pictures by cicking the "Leave a Comment" link on the permanent link page.
Random Stuff - Random Links that I find every day. From games to news and everything in between, I find them interesting (or not as the case may be) so hopefully you will. You can comment on each of these by clicking the little red arrow on the left of each link then clicking "Leave a Comment".
Ok, so that wasn't lots, but still. I hope to have some of the lyrics and things up soon, but then again, I may not. We'll see what happens :)

Digital Music Awards Voting

This time last year I entered into an online awards ceremony called the Digital Music Awards (called the Interactive Music Awards the Year Before). In 2003 I ended up in position 273 with the original website. In 2004 I placed at number 18 with a less than good looking and well functioning version of what you see now. Today, the Digital Music Awards has opened up again and you can now vote for Forfeit The Game: A Linkin Park Fansite in the Peoples Choice Awards.

Getting Lost in Lost

The other thing I am really getting lost in right now, is "Lost" which just started showing on Channel 4 last week. I'd heard all the hype and excitement about this fantastic program, and so I decided to watch it - which is unusual because I try to veer clear of Channel 4 orientated programs, they have a taste for weird and obcenely objective programs which make no sense in any way, shape or form.
As well as having a series of fantasic actors to it's name (Harold Perrineau Jr., Dominic Monaghan, Ian Somerhalder to name a few), the series has already confused the hell out of me, and gripped me to the point of watching the re-runs in order to try and get a shread of idea from it. It's not that the story doesn't make sense, it's the story behind the story, which is glimpsed at and hinted throughout, creating the confusion of not fully knowing what is going on.
Which is where Channel 4 have outdone themselves - Though it is actually an ABC (US) created program, Channel 4 have adopted it and opted to expand on it further and further. By visiting the website, you can make your way through to an "Untold" story, which, whilst confusing and puzzling you even more, will provide an insight into the individuals on the island and how they came to arrive on flight 815 to Los Angeles. They even built websites to help capture the realisticness of the whole project.
Check it out if you are watching the program, and if you aren't... why not?

The Island, Is Fantastic

We went to see "The Island" on Saturday, it's a really good and original film, even if it is a bit confusing to start with. If you haven't seen it I would suggest watching the trailers at the official website. And a word of warning: It's over 2 hours long, so go for a piss before you go in!
On the subject of movies, I know alot of you will be anticipating the (currently set) October 28th release of "Saw 2." Though I'm not a fan of this movie at all, I thought I should post a link to the recently released trailer. The directors have a much bigger budget this time, so expect the special effects to be a little better, I wouldn't get your hopes up over the plot-line though, if the original is anything to go by. On the lighter side of things "Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Warerabbit" looks very funny, as does "Fun With Dick and Jane;" Jim Carrey's new movie.
